Two months ahead of schedule, the first Siemens 6MW wind turbine has started supplying the German electricity grid with wind energy from the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm. This marks an important milestone ahead of the following installation of another 66 WTGs being loaded out from Danish port Esbjerg to the Veja Mate-site off the German North Sea coast some 95 km off the island of Borkum.

The vessels, being among the most powerful and fastest LNG-powered ferries are due for delivery 2017/2018.

OSK-ShipTech A/S is looking for a Naval Architect M.Sc. and CFD specialist with good knowledge of theory and methodologies within hydrodynamics and hull line design. You will be working with high-end CFD tools to predict and optimise the propulsive performance of all types of ships. We are using the commercial code STAR-CCM+ for resistance prediction and self-propulsion evaluations, and the hull shape is optimised by CAESES coupled with CFD.

Danish Society for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering hosts a mini-conference on the subject of IPR in the Marine Industry on Monday 7 March 2016 from 16.00-20.00 in collaboration with IDA Maritim. Managing Director of OSK-ShipTech A/S, Anders Ørgård Hansen, will address some of the issues and challenges of IPR in the marine industry.
OSK-ShipTech A/S is behind the ferry design and tender procedure for a new domestic ferry for one of the western most routes in Denmark between Thyborøn and Agger. Operating in the choppy waters of the West coast in sea area class C, the ferry needs to comply with higher security level allowing water on deck compared to most other inland ferries operating in sea area class D.
To keep the vessel light and allow for high fluctuations in tides and shallow water conditions, the ferry will have a low draught and land-based ramp system. The project scope is a double-ended ferry with short loading and off-loading time, capacity of 98 passengers and 2 man-staff, subject to authority approval.
OSK-ShipTech A/S is in charge of the ferry design, project design, proposal material and the tender procedure.
