These vessels move anchors for rigs or similar, carry out towing operations, assist tank ships and Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSOs). They may act as supply vessel for oil rigs and are able to carry out Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) surveys for inspection of piping systems etc.


This vessel was designed by OSK-ShipTech A/S (formerly Ole Steen Knudsen A/S) for the Gambia Port Authorities and built by IHC-Delta Shipyard, the Netherlands in 1997. “Juffureh” is a 27 tons BP conventional tug with one large CP-propeller in a rudder nozzle for high manoeuvrability and designed for a restricted draught of the local docking facility. The vessel is able to supply up to 40 t of fresh water to ships waiting on the road.

55 BP Tug Boat AROS

The Port of Aarhus has procured a new, modern tugboat of the type Damen ASD (Azimuth Stern Drive) Tug 2810 with a bollard pull of 55 tons. The hull was built in Poland and towed to Holland in October 2002 for completion and outfitting.
