OSK-ShipTech A/S is looking for a Naval Architect M.Sc. and CFD specialist with good knowledge of theory and methodologies within hydrodynamics and hull line design. You will be working with high-end CFD tools to predict and optimise the propulsive performance of all types of ships. We are using the commercial code STAR-CCM+ for resistance prediction and self-propulsion evaluations, and the hull shape is optimised by CAESES coupled with CFD.
OSK-ShipTech A/S is one of the leading naval consultancy companies in Denmark specialising in newbuilding and conversion designs. You will be part of our CFD team and will contribute to the continued development of the methods and standard setups for our CFD simulations. In addition to the propulsion prediction, you will be working with a broad range of other simulations such as car deck ventilation, wave loads, wind loads and manoeuvre simulations.
Our new colleague preferably possesses high knowledge and experience within the following areas:
- CFD simulation (Preferable STAR-CCM+)
- Resistance and propulsion
- Scripting (JAVA and Python)
- Linux cluster systems
- CAESES / Friendship Frame
We expect you to be enterprising and autonomous. You strive with complex projects and take great pride in always ensuring the highest possible quality and working towards innovative solutions.
You will be working in our Copenhagen Department with 20+ colleagues in an informal and relaxed atmosphere with a strong work ethic. We are a highly specialised team of experienced colleagues – all with an innovative approach to ship design. There is high potential for personal development and building of professional skills as well as setting new standards for calculation methodologies.
