19/11-2014 OSK-ShipTech A/S takes part in largest ever Danish maritime green innovation project

Through the community partnership Blue INNOship, OSK-ShipTech A/S will over the next four years be a part of a large Danish collaborative between the maritime industry, shipping companies, universities, GTS-institutes and national authorities. The partnership will be working on 14 green innovation projects in order to boost growth and create jobs in the maritime industry as well as develop energy efficient solutions and thereby reduce CO2 emissions.

In total, 40 companies and organisations are involved in Blue INNOship launched by Blue INNO+ and funded by the members of the partnership, the Danish Government, Innovation Fund Denmark and the Danish Maritime Fund. The budget for the project is DKK 117m. The goal of the project is to boost growth and create jobs within the maritime sector of Denmark, but also to develop energy efficient solutions in hopes of lowering SOx and NOx emissions by 80%.

OSK-ShipTech A/S will participate in Work Package 1 - Ship Design & Propeller Solutions, in which the company will be the project owner of the TrailerCat-project and collaborate with Man Diesel & Turbo on the project Controllable Pre-Swirl Fins.
