OSK-ShipTech A/S and project partners are ready to launch the groundbreaking three year innovation project Ro-Ro TrailerCat under INNO+ where we will rethink vessel design, loading procedures and transportation time.

PROJECT TARGETS


To change traditional stern ramp operation to mid-ship loading and off-loading

To minimise time at port allowing for longer sea time at lower speeds, cutting consumption of fuel

To double the capacity of traditional ro-ro vessels from 4-5000 lane metres to 8-9000 lane metres

To reduce the costs of ro-ro traffic with up to 50% on a 120 NM route

To lower CO2 emissions with up to 70% on a 120 NM route

To offer a feasible alternative to land transport

 

OSK-ShipTech A/S, Bureau Veritas, Dansk Brand- og Sikringsteknisk Institut, Tetraplan, Transmar Ltd., Copenhagen Business School, DTU, MacGregor and Claus Kruse among others are now taking the initial steps, as project and partners are about to begin the feasibility study and establish the business case.
